In the Making

This is my introduction to the world. It took seven years in the making for this to come alive. I have talked about writing a food and travel blog mixed in with designs and illustrations.

It took being quarantined at my apartment amid the COVID-19 chaos to use the time wisely while working from home to finally create a world of my own to express myself. A side hustle and project I’ve been dreaming of and with the help of my friends and significant other to get this going.

It will be a learning process and I am here for it. This site will change over time as I try to update things here and there.

I’m really excited to get this rolling and going. I’m doing this for fun for now and the content will vary from cooking, ingredients, eating, traveling, daily musings and past inklings to graphic designs and illustrations. My childhood experiences with food may be different from others as a first generation Vietnamese-Chinese American living in the South. I lived in an area where Asians were not plenty and so was the food. I didn’t learn how to cook until I was in college and had access to some Asian ingredients but I didn’t learn how to use them since I didn’t learn at home.

Let’s just say it was a confusing time and the internet then did not have the content as it does today with Asian bloggers from all backgrounds sharing their recipes. I will cook my own recipes and others and post it here. Photos are coming. It is a work in progress as I try to plan all the content.

For now, this is my introduction.
